About Custom Southern Co.

Custom Southern Co. is a home for people who can't walk past a box of old tins at a yard sale.
We write about the everyday antiques that turn up at flea markets, barn sales and estate sales across the South: Prince Albert tobacco tins, Ball mason jars, pie birds, hymnals, spindles, yardsticks and light globes. For each one we dig into where it came from and how to date it, then share simple ways to give it a second life as decor.

Our approach
We keep projects budget-friendly and beginner-friendly, and we say so when a technique needs extra care, such as old paint that may contain lead or a vintage light fixture that needs rewiring. Dates and values in our collecting guides are estimates; condition and rarity always have the final say.
